CREATIVE MANAGER


We are looking for a creative manager to oversee daily operations, manage staff schedules, train staff, track inventory, teach workshops, coordinate bookings and communicate with guest instructors. Studio manager is expected to keep staff up-to-date on studio policy and procedures. Must have an outgoing personality, strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, positive attitude and the ability to work quickly (independently and as part of a team).

HOURS: Part time, includes evenings and weekends

Salary negotiable, based on experience


Studio Manager duties include, but not limited to:

  • Keep studio clean and organized
  • Inventory tracking / supply ordering
  • Operate studio equipment (vinyl cutter/software, copy/fax, projector, microphone, etc.)
  • Prep workshop materials
  • Scheduling (studio workshops, private parties and staff schedules)
  • Coordinate guest artist contracts and schedules
  • Assist guests and instructors to ensure smooth workshop flow (maintain a schedule of events/follow standard operating procedures). Monitor workshop events, act as point of contact for guests and staff and/or facilitate workshops
  • Guest satisfaction (attracting clients relies largely on the appeal of a strong reputation and word-of-mouth referrals, keeping track of customers’ needs is crucial to generating new business)
  • Respond to customer inquiries (questions, quotes and scheduling) via telephone and email

Job Requirements:

OLCC and Food handlers license

Evening and weekend shift availability 


Professional Skills Desired

Knowledge of vinyl cutting equipment and design software

Networking


Interpersonal Skills

Because the work involves juggling schedules and dealing with last minute changes and unexpected complications, it is vital for the studio manager to be flexible and cool-heated; have excellent problem solving skills; and be organized and detail-oriented. 


Probationary period to be implemented through the first 90 -120 days.
